If you’re unsure which subscription is active, or want help right away, call Roku support at 1-866.994.3657.
I've been trying to unsubscribe from a channel on Roku, and it’s honestly more confusing than I expected. I figured it’d be as simple as a couple of clicks, but there are so many different ways to subscribe (on the device, online, through third-party apps) that it’s hard to tell what the correct process is for canceling.
I think I subscribed to a couple of channels directly through Roku a while ago—probably using the Roku remote and not even realizing it. Now I’m getting monthly charges, and I want to stop them, but I couldn’t figure it out on the TV itself. I pressed the * button on the channel icon and saw some options, but it didn’t clearly show how to cancel.
Eventually, I logged into my.roku.com on a browser, went to “Manage Subscriptions”, and finally found the list of channels I’m subscribed to. From there, I was able to hit “Unsubscribe” next to the ones I don’t want anymore. It’s just kind of buried and not intuitive.
If you’re stuck like I was and need to unsubscribe from Roku channels, I definitely recommend doing it from a desktop or phone browser. Don’t assume removing the channel from your home screen actually cancels it—it doesn’t!
Has anyone else run into this?
